Iced Rosehip Tea

Kids love the fruity flavour of this delicious drink which easily replaces sugar laden and shop bought juices and drinks.

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp loose rosehip tea

  • 500 ml Boiling water

  • 1 or 2 tsp raw honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the leaves in a teapot, jug, or pan

  2. Boil 500ml of water and add to the leaves. Let the tea brew for 10 minutes

  3. Drain the leaves and place the liquid in a jug or bottle

  4. Add the honey and stir until thoroughly mixed in

  5. Cool down and serve chilled

The science bit

Rosehip has tremendous anti-inflammatory and  anti-oxidant properties and is one of the best sources of vitamin C to help support the immune system and adrenal function and can be especially helpful for children with sensory processing difficulties.
