The Brainstorm Health team.

About Brainstorm Health

Brainstorm Health® is a specialist paediatric clinic for children whose health picture is not straightforward.

Some children come to us with a diagnosis such as Autism, ADHD or PANS/PANDAS. Others do not have a diagnosis at all, but something is clearly not right and their parents are still looking for answers.

We look at the whole child, not just one symptom at a time. Gut health, immune function, nutrition, infection, metabolism and the nervous system can all be part of the picture.

Many of the families we see have already spent a long time trying to work out how all the pieces fit together. That is exactly the kind of work we do.

The brainstorm health team gathered around a table discussing a specialist nutritional case.

That is why Stella developed The Brainstorm Health Pathway®.

Built from years of clinical practice, it provides a structured way of making sense of a complex health picture and deciding what needs attention first.

The Pathway helps identify priorities and gives each child a clear starting point. Rather than overwhelming them with too many interventions at once, support is introduced step by step and adapted as their needs change.

Every practitioner works within this shared framework, with Stella providing clinical oversight and remaining closely involved in complex cases. This means each family benefits from the wider experience and clinical thinking of the Brainstorm Health team.

Meet our Founder

Stella Chadwick wearing a pink satin blouse, sitting in a floral-patterned armchair with a laptop on her lap, smiling at the camera.

Stella Chadwick, BSc (Hons) mBANT CNHC

Her work began with her own daughter’s complex health problems, which led her to retrain in Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine and eventually to build the kind of clinic she had once been looking for herself.

Over more than a decade of clinical practice, Stella has developed a particular interest in children with complex neurological, immune and behavioural presentations, including Autism, ADHD and PANS/PANDAS.

She is especially interested in understanding how factors such as immune activation, infection, gut health, nutrient status, mitochondrial function and inflammation may be contributing to the changes a family is seeing in their child.

Parents often arrive with years of history, multiple symptoms and a sense that the pieces must somehow be connected. Stella’s strength lies in stepping back, looking at that wider pattern and identifying where attention is most likely to make a meaningful difference.

Today, Stella leads the clinical direction of Brainstorm Health®, mentors the practitioner team and remains closely involved in more complex cases.

Meet the team

  • Jo Lovemore, a white woman with shoulder-length brown hair, smiling, wearing a bright pink top, sitting indoors near a window with natural light.

    Jo Lovemore

    regCNHC, mBANT

Jo is a Registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT, regCNHC) with a degree in Biology and a Diploma with Distinction in Nutritional Therapy. She works closely with our families, helping them understand and put their child’s health plan into practice.

Jo has a real talent for taking complicated science and making it feel clear and manageable, drawing on both her biology background and her previous career in science communication.

As a mum of two young daughters, she also understands that families are already juggling a lot. Her approach is warm, practical and realistic. She takes time to listen, understand what life actually looks like at home, and help families make changes that feel achievable rather than overwhelming.

  • Sarah Webb, a woman with blonde hair smiling, wearing a blue blouse and a necklace, in an indoor setting.

    Sarah Webb

    BSc, DipNT, mBANT, regCNHC

Sarah is a Registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT, regCNHC) with a degree in Environmental Science and a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy. She has a particular interest in gut, brain and immune health and works closely with families navigating complex health challenges.

Her interest in this work is also personal. Sarah saw first-hand the difference nutritional and lifestyle support could make while helping her own daughter through complex health problems, and that experience continues to shape the way she works with families today.

Sarah brings a broad background in health and wellbeing, environmental education and food, including time as a retreat business owner and chef. She is warm, thoughtful and highly attuned to the individual family in front of her, taking time to understand what they are dealing with and helping make the process feel both manageable and supported.

  • Mémé Watanabe, a woman with long black hair smiling, wearing a white blazer and gold jewellery, sitting indoors.

    Mémé Watanabe

BSc (Hons), DipNT, BANT, CNHC, ANLP

Mémé is a Registered Nutritional Therapist with a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition Science and is registered with BANT, CNHC and ANLP. She has also undertaken specialist training in brain chemistry with Dr William Walsh and immunology with Dr Samuel Yanuck.

Mémé has experience working with children with Autism, ADHD and other neurological challenges, and has a particular interest in the connections between gastrointestinal, neurological and immune health.

What really shapes Mémé’s approach is her ability to see the whole person behind the symptoms. Her 30 years of meditation practice, together with a previous career in humanitarian and non-government organisations, has given her a deep appreciation of how stress, communication, environment and emotional wellbeing can influence health.

She brings a calm, thoughtful and compassionate presence to her work, helping families make sense of complex information without losing sight of the child at the centre of it.

  • Emma Mace, a woman with short blonde hair, wearing a light blue cardigan and small hoop earrings, sitting indoors near a window.

    Emma Mace

    mBANT, regCHNC

Emma is a Registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT, regCNHC) who retrained after a career in law. She also holds a Masters Diploma in Eating Disorders and Obesity Management from the National Centre for Eating Disorders, endorsed by the British Psychological Society.

Emma has a particular interest in supporting children and young people with eating difficulties, including ARFID, as well as ADHD, Autism and related challenges. Her understanding of this area is also personal, having supported loved ones through eating disorders and neurodevelopmental difficulties.

She brings a thoughtful and compassionate approach to her work, recognising that difficulties around food can be influenced by far more than nutrition alone. Anxiety, sensory needs, rigidity, fear and family dynamics can all form part of the picture.

Emma works closely with both children and parents, helping families feel understood and supported while making changes that are realistic, gentle and sustainable.

  • Carolyn Frost, a smiling woman with blonde hair wearing a blue top and a silver chain necklace, sitting indoors near a window.

    Carolyn Frost

    M.Tech.Hom(SA), DipION mBANT, CNHC

Carolyn is a Registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT, regCNHC) and Homeopath with more than 15 years of clinical experience. She holds a postgraduate diploma in Integrative Functional Nutrition and a Master’s degree in Homeopathy.

Over the years, Carolyn has developed a particular interest in children with Autism, ADHD and other neurological presentations, especially where gut health, mood, behaviour and emotional wellbeing are closely intertwined.

Her breadth of experience means she is comfortable working with children whose health picture is not straightforward. She takes time to understand the whole child, looking carefully at patterns across nutrition, digestion, behaviour and general wellbeing rather than focusing on one symptom in isolation.

Carolyn brings a calm, considered and highly individual approach to her work, drawing on nutritional therapy and, where appropriate, homeopathy to support each child and family in a way that feels thoughtful, practical and personal.

  • Rachel Calvert-Lee, a woman with shoulder-length reddish-brown hair smiling at the camera, wearing a light pink blouse with ruffled collar and a gold chain necklace, sitting indoors near a window.

    Rachel Calvert-Lee

    Registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT, regCNHC)

Rachel is a Registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT, regCNHC) with a degree in Microbiology and Virology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Personalised Nutrition. She has particular experience supporting children and young adults with Autism, PANS and PANDAS.

Rachel’s interest in this work is also deeply personal. Through her own family experiences, she understands how overwhelming it can be when a child’s health, behaviour or development changes and parents are left trying to make sense of a complicated picture.

Her background in microbiology and virology gives her a natural interest in the connections between infection, immune function, gut health and the brain, while always keeping the individual child at the centre of the work.

Rachel brings warmth, compassion and a very practical approach to families, helping them understand what may be going on and turning complex information into clear, manageable steps.

  • Susan Foulger, a woman with light skin and long, wavy, light brown hair, smiling and wearing a bright pink blazer and a black top with a necklace, sitting indoors in a well-lit room.

    Susan Foulger

BSc Nutritional Science, Dip Personalised Nutrition, mBANT, regCNHC, NLP Practitioner

Susan Foulger is a Registered Nutritional Therapist with a degree in Nutritional Science and a Diploma in Personalised Nutrition. She works with children and young adults with ADHD, Autism and a range of neurological and physical health challenges.

Susan’s work is shaped by both professional training and personal experience. She has a strong interest in the wider factors that can influence a child’s health, including gut health, genetics, environmental influences and nutritional status.

Before retraining, Susan worked as a holistic chef, and that experience still runs through the way she supports families. She understands that recommendations have to work in a real kitchen, with real children, preferences, routines and limitations, and she brings creativity and practicality to helping families make food changes that are actually achievable.

Susan has a calm, grounded way of working and is particularly good at helping parents feel less overwhelmed by a complicated health picture, giving them a clearer sense of what matters and where to start.

  • Charlotte Watkins, a woman with shoulder-length blonde hair smiling, wearing a green button-up shirt and a necklace, sitting in front of a light-coloured background.

    Charlotte Watkins

She is also Lifecode Gx qualified and has continued to develop her clinical expertise through advanced mentorship and specialist training.

She has a particular interest in personalised nutrition and nutrigenomics, using her understanding of genetics, nutrition and wider biological influences to help make sense of complex health presentations.

Charlotte also brings a varied background to her work, including experience with an NGO and qualifications in both Mat and Reformer Pilates. These experiences have shaped a grounded, thoughtful and whole-person approach to the families she supports.

She is calm, thorough and non-judgemental, taking time to understand both the child and the realities of family life, and helping parents turn complex recommendations into clear, achievable steps.

  • Lana Novak, a woman with wavy, shoulder-length brown hair, wearing an olive green top and layered gold necklaces, smiling softly in a bright indoor setting.

    Lana Novak

    MSc mBANT rCNHC

Lana is a Registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT, regCNHC) with an MSc in Personalised Nutrition. Her postgraduate research explored the role of the microbiome in the immune-brain axis in children with ADHD, and she has a particular interest in the relationship between gut health, immunity and neurodevelopment.

Her interest in this area is also personal. Seeing neurodiversity and immune-related challenges within her own family has given her a real understanding of how complex these health journeys can feel for parents.

Lana takes a thoughtful and considered approach to her work, looking carefully at the wider picture around each child and how different aspects of their health may be connected.

She brings warmth, curiosity and a strong scientific grounding to the families she supports, helping them make sense of complex information and turn it into clear, manageable steps.
